About me

Hello. I am the woman behind Risza Jewellery. My current home studio is in Brighton, England. I discovered my passion for jewellery-making in Dili, Timor – Leste, my ancestors’ homeland 10 years ago. I was inspired by watching traditional Timorese silversmiths making jewellery, and I started to experiment and teach myself. I have also learnt various techniques from different teachers around the world, the learning journey continues.

My work is mostly influenced by Timorese ceremonial and traditional objects, which have stories and meaning behind each of them.

As my techniques develop and my designs evolve, I now incorporate semiprecious stones and different shapes in my designs.

I have the privilege to create and make jewellery as my heart desires, AND I get to share them with you. Hope you will continue to join me in my jewellery-making journey.
